Narconon

Narconon is a non-profit drug rehabilitation program that is dedicated to eliminate drugs all together. They try to accomplish this by educating the public about drug prevention and rehabilitation. Narconon also tries to bring the truth to people about drugs through video presentations and written documents, hopefully, reducing and stopping drug addiction in communities. Their network consists of over a 100 drug rehabs, prevention and education centers world wide. They take drug addicts and turn their lives around, the majority of the graduates show they can live a stable and productive life without the need for drugs.

Narconon International drug rehabilitation program is drug-free social program. Drug Rehabilitation Technology, the methods which make the keys a success, is so solely based on principals that were written in a book by L. Ron Hubbard. This successful approach to drug rehab has been used on people all around the world who want to take away the need for drugs and reclaim control of their lives.

The steps taken in the drug rehabilitation program that Narconon provides is entirely drug-free. The program doesn’t use medication to solve the problem that was caused by drugs. They use nutrition and nutritional supplements as important opposing components to fight the problem. People who want to enroll in the program must receive a medical physical from their physician to be enrolled. A special thing that makes the clients feel better about their decision about enrolling is that they are considered students, not patients, just trying to learn how to regain control over their lives again. The teacher teaches the student that once they have graduated the program successfully they have achieved a new way of life.

Another important aspect of Narconon is their prevention program. They have educated over 1.5 million elementary school children about the importance of not using drugs. Many studies have shown that if a child is educated at an early age about not using the drugs, the likely hood of them not using them when they are older decreases.

The Narconon program has received a lot of support from the communities. They have also received tremendous support from Hollywood. John Travolta has been a long time member of the Narconon Advisory Board, and Kirstie Alley is one of the international spokesperson.
